We are a church of 50 people seeking someone with seminary education, who is spirit-filled, operates in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and fulfills biblical leadership through a consistent spiritual lifestyle. One must also agree with and adhere to the statement of faith of Dauphin New Life Centre. Senior Pastor Job Description

Qualifications

  • A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ
  • Fulfills Biblical leadership through consistent spiritual and moral character and lifestyle
  • Agree and adhere with the statement of faith of New Life Centre
  • A heart for Bible teaching and preaching
  • Potential and desire to remain in long term ministry at New Life Centre
  • Seminary education
  • A person who is spirit filled and operating in gifts of the Holy Spirit

Responsibilities

  • Have primary responsibilities for teaching and sustaining of biblical doctrines of this church and equipping God’s people for ministry.

Pastoral Duties

  • Have overall responsibility for public worship services
  • Administer the ordinances
  • Provide general pastoral care and nurturing of the church body
  • Participate in the local ministerial

Leadership Duties

  • Together with the New Life Centre Board provide vision and leadership for the overall direction of the church
  • Develop leaders
  • Provide overall leadership for the ministry teams of New Life Centre by; working with the leadership teams to organize, develop and implement ministry objectives

 Management Duties

  • Supervise church staff

Kingdom Duties

  • Represent the church in the community
  • Provide ministry to the broader body of Christ

Accountability

  • The Senior Pastor is accountable to the congregation through the Church Board
  • The Senior pastoral job description will be reviewed annually by the Church Board
